In this video, Dr. Kiefte-de Jong, Assistant Professor at Leiden University and the Dept of Epidemiology at Erasmus Medical Center, Rotterdam, discusses how counseling women on the importance of lifestyle and nutritional intake can make a difference in their overall health. While women tend to have a healthier lifestyle, there is always room for lifestyle interventions that can lead to improvements in overall health. In this present, Dr. Kiefte-de Jong reviews how gender differences and differences in health vulnerabilities should also be factored into developing targeted patient management plans for optimal outcomes.
