In this collaborative presentation of MHICN and ReachMD, Dr. Tasneem Bhatia welcomes Dr. Dale Bredesen to discuss the new paradigm of managing cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s Disease. Dr. Dale Bredesen is the Director of Neurodegenerative Disease Research at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. In this presentation he introduces a new clinical hypothesis in the functional and integrative medical approach to cognitive decline.

Key nutrition and lifestyle behaviors like sleep, along with hormone levels, stress, and inflammation status should be taken into account when healthcare practitioners evaluate patients for cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s Disease. Of course, there is a range of cognitive impairment and people can be affected mildly or severely. We do not know how late in the disease progression taking an integrated approach to Alzheimer’s management will work, but starting early with preventive strategies can be most helpful.

Dr. Tasneem Bhatia welcomes Dr. Dale Bredesen, as they discuss “Clinical Nutrition Management of Cognitive Decline.”
