In this podcast Cory Rice, MD and Nilima Desai, ND discuss the need for improved diet and nutrition as a preventative measure to reverse the epidemics of obesity and heart disease, which have become endemic in today’s patient population. Dr. Rice includes his personal story which motivated him to apply changes to his daily routine, putting food first to reduce the need for medical intervention. Re-training and resetting the standard of care so that the patient is put first is the primary focus that many health care practitioners may aspire to implement, as a first line approach to achieve long-term weight loss and sustainable improvements to health.
