A randomized trial conducted by Beerepoot and colleagues examined urinary tract infections (UTI) treated with antibiotics. This study showed an increase in antibitiotic resistance for many bacterial species. Therefore it is necessary to find ways to reduce antibiotic resistance. This protocol explains the use of probiotics to prevent future UTI’s for women who have a history of infections
